The Cemetery

Alamance Presbyterian Church has one of the oldest and most beautiful church cemeteries in the North Carolina Piedmont. The cemetery has been lovingly tended since 1762.

It serves as an important source for historical research. Some of the gravestones date from the 1770s. Several North Carolinians who served with General Nathanial Greene’s patriot forces in the Battle of Guilford Courthouse are buried here.
